About

This website was inspired by a visit to Brazil in May 2006. That was  when we realized that access to instructional materials on sign linguistics played a crucial role in attracting Deaf signers to the field of sign linguistics. Since there are currently very few Deaf researchers in this field worldwide, it is hoped that through this website, more Deaf students will become motivated to study the linguistic structure of their native sign languages and become active researchers.
